CYCLOPS
I remember passing by this one in the store.  My friend had just picked up Quarantine and The Haunting of Molly Hartley.  Two horror movies that I wanted to see.  (I am a horror fanatic)  Well as the title of the show and website suggest I was to poor to follow suit so I continued into the cheapy section.  There I found Roger Corman's newest film Cyclops.

My heart beat a little faster and the corners of my mouth turned up in glee.  I might have even jumped up and clapped my hands because my friend was giving me a strange look.  I didn't care, I had found pure cheesy enjoyment.  Or so I believed.

Its the story of a Cyclops that is terrorizing some region of Rome.  The Emperor (played by Eric Roberts) calls for its capture and one thing leads to another and before long the Cyclops finds itself battling gladiators in the arena.

That was enough for me as I read the back.  I dug really deep into my pockets to find the necessary funds to add this to my collection that is filled with similar garbage and we checked out.

I'm not sure how but it took me another day to pop this in.  My fiancee had gone off to work so I was alone to enjoy my new treasure.

The acting was horrendous, the set design subpar and the only thing that looked good was the CGI Cyclops.  This is absolute crap. I knew that going in but still managed to be disappointed.

If you are like me and are in a similar situation, keep your hands out of your pocket and save your money.  Maybe next time your in the store you'll have enough to buy something worth watching.

    Damn it.
