Final Analysis: I think that the Coen Brothers have yet to make a movie I didn’t like. While some may be better than others I find them all to be entertaining. This movie is an absurdist exercise. Frances McDormand, Brad Pitt, John Malkovich, George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Richard Jenkins, J.K. Simmons and David Raschke all deliver pitch perfect performances. This movie is reminiscent of the Screwball Comedy of the 30’s & 40’s. George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s meeting is a priceless moment in this movie. As well as the civilian world and the world of espionage merge there is a violent consequence.
