MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN Synopsis: A serial killer on the Subway system catches the attention of a pretentious photographer. Bloodletting insues. PROS CONS Final Analysis: This film was definitely style over substance, but being based on a Clive Barker short story doesn’t often create opportunity to elicit depth in an hour and a half. This being a horror/slasher film story should somewhat take the backseat to carnage. Vinnie Jones is quite intimidating and threatening. Ted Raimi is fun for a shortwhile as is Quentin “Rampage” Jackson. I enjoyed it but it was still just a slasher flick with above average kills and creative gore. Rent it for some fantastic brutality and blood. |
